Created in 2008 THE CITY quickly became one of NYC’s most talented AAU basketball team. This past summer former basketball coach turned producer/director Eric Newman, ENEW FILMS, documented the journey with THE CITY in their pursuit of the AAU national championship. Airing on AWESOMENESSTV, created by Hollywood producer Brian Robbins, THE CITY follows the team from their practice gym in Soho through the local NYC tournament circuit and to AAU nationals where they aimed to make history.
